HI Everyone, June is Pride Month Here in Louisville (Kentuckiana) we have an organization called the Kentuckiana Pride Foundation. They work all year to organize events and a huge party the third weekend in June. Hosted by more than a dozen local faith communities, this special service is part of the annual Kentruckiana Pride Festival. The mission of the Pride Festival is to produce an annual festival focused on the gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgendered (GLBT) community in the Kentuckiana area; to provide a forum for creative expression for all members of the community; to promote and encourage the understanding that the GLBT community plays an important role in Kentuckiana's social, cultural and economic landscape; and to give back to the community through charitable donations and in-kind services. The second annual Interfaith Pride Service is offered in that same spirit. |
