Dear Readers of THE LETTER:

This afternoon THE LETTER launched a second website 
(http://theletter.win.net), from which you may download an entire
copy of our current hardcopy issue. Recent past issues will soon be
added for downloading. Downloading is free through October 15, 2008,
Beyond that, "e-subscriptions" will cost just $10.00 per year (payable online, via check or money order). Our main website (www.TheLetterOnline.com) continues to offer selected features from our current monthly issue and special features (including daily updates of world,national and regional news) available only online. By the end of the year our two websites will be merged into one even larger website. In other announcements... -- Carla Wallace will host her annual Lawn Party coming up later this month. RSVP required. For more information write [address removed]. -- Rev. Todd Eklof (Clifton Universalist Unitarian Church) has received approaval from a judge to advance his wrongful termination case against Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB). Eklof was fired from his secular job after Louisville and national news media reported his support for marriage equality. Watch for an update on Eklof's ongoing legal battle against KFB (a company with multi-million dollar assests) in our September 2008 issue. -- The Metro Louisville chapter of Parents and Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG) will resume their regular monthly meetings on Sunday, September 21. Meetings begin at 3:00pm and take place at First Lutheran Church on East Broadway in downtown Louisville. Information on the guest speaker for September's meeting will be included in our September issue. -- Come out for a drink and watch a movie! TOO WONG FOO, WITH LOVE JULIE NEWMAR will be showing on the big screens at Fuzion bar, 1335 Story Avenue in Louisville next Thursday, August 21 beginning at 7:30pm. Admission free.
