Gay Friendly Louisville?: History and Discussion

This month’s meeting will be a panel discussion on how gay friendly Louisville has been over the years.


  • For some historical perspective, Richard Coomer will be talking about the gay community in the old days when the gay bars were raided by police.
  • Alicia Pedreira will give an overview of her firing from Kentucky Baptist Homes for being a lesbian.
  • Mike Shouse, the director of the Kentuckiana PRIDE Festival, talking about his experiences with the PRIDE Festival over the last seven years.

After their presentations, the panelists will take questions from the audience.
