in Louisville. He will be discussing what Small Business Administration (SBA) / Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) has to offer to make your business more successful.

SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business" is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth, and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is the national volunteer arm of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Its mission is to support, counsel, and mentor new start-ups and existing businesses. There are over 13,000 volunteers nationally. The Louisville Chapter has 95 volunteers in 57 different industries. SCORE does not charge for its services. Tom Trudgeon of G3 Magazine will talk about why he can up with the concept for the magazine and what his mission statement was. He will address the obstacles he faced in getting the magazine started such as finding fiscal backing and advertisers. He will talk about how the idea for the soirees originated and how they have developed over time. He will talk about what it entails to put on such an event, how he made the contacts to get bars, restaurants and galleries to sponsor the soirees by providing space and free food. He will address how he got his invitation list and what he has found as the best way to promote these events. He will conclude with what comes next.

Individuals rely on online social networks for fun, communication, and networking. Businesses are also turning to social networks as a way to interact with consumers. If you're a business owner, and even if you are not, you want to hear what others are saying about you, and you need a way to quickly communicate with others. Many social network tools are available. This presentation will focus on one popular tool - Twitter. The presentation will explain what Twitter is, how to use Twitter, tools to manage Tweets, and provide examples of how businesses are using Twitter for customer service and interaction and also for crisis management.

KRCC will be celebrating its 3-year anniversary with a party and you are invited. The reception will be from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Feel free to drop in any time. If you can't stay the whole time that's fine, just drop in when you can. Hor d'oeuvres and soft drinks will be provided. Full service dining and cash bar are available. Meet chamber members, talk with the board members about what you would like to see the KRCC do, network, eat, and have some fun. Members and potential members welcome.
